Sony BDP-S570 3D Blu-ray Player Review
By Dangazzm
The Sony BDP-S570 3D Blu-ray player is one of the latest in the line of Sony Blu-ray players. They have improved on a lot of things when it comes to blu-rays in the past and their past line of players also. For example this one can run a lot of apps from Youtube, to Pandora, Amazon VoD, or Netflix. Along with the much faster load times on loading blu-rays and DvD's. For a basic user this is going to have everything you need and a little more, there are some issues users are having however.
Issues With the Sony BDP-S570 3D Blu-ray Player
A few people are complaining that their firewalls are blocking the ports needed by the blu-ray player and say it is undocumented how to fix this problem other than turning off the firewalls period. Others have said that this is in the manual itself and isn't an issue, I never had this problem so couldn't tell you if it is true or not, but it is possible the units where faulty to begin with. Amazon's electronics return policy would protect you from anything like this, and you could get a new one for no extra cost to you.
Looks and Style
This is one of the sleekest blu-ray players I have personally ever seen. I think it is amazing to have the built in wi-fi so there are no ugly cords or anything sticking out of it. It really brings an entertainment stand together. There isn't anything too flashy though as it is mostly black, but it is sleek and I appreciate that.
Features
As I said before, this thing has so many features it is remarkable. You can get videos on demand from Amazon and play them, Listen to music on Pandora, Watch Youtube videos, enjoy Netflix's online movies, even watch Hulu plus for those of you who spend all day at work watching it!
There is more here than a normal user could ever want so this is a no brainer in my opinion.
Pricing
This is a 3D capable Bluray player and comes with more features than most other blu-ray players and will cost a little more because of this but it is truly worth it if you ever plan on getting or have a 3D capable television. One movie comes to mind when I think of 3D and that is Avatar, and it would look amazing!
The price can range anywhere from around $150 - $200. A little more than the average blu-ray, but like I said for the features its a bargain! Of course Amazon is the recommended way to purchase this product for the warranties and free shipping.
